Before Listening

In this piece by Eric Molinsky, you’ll hear about green screens, the technology behind many special effects in film and television. The idea is relatively simple, but acting with a green screen is quite different from acting in a normal scene.

Think about these questions before listening:

  1. Would it be easier or harder to act in a green screen? Why?
  2. What kinds of movies might make use of a green screen?
  3. Would child actors find it easier, or harder, to act in a green screen?
  4. What might an actor do to work effectively with a green screen?
