–I found myself walking across America kind of by accident. I took a job right out of college, but three months into it I got fired. I didn’t have much money, didn’t have a plan, so I figured I’d start walking.
I’d walk out my back door near Philadelphia, and then down to New Orleans, and if I was up for it, all the way to San Francisco. It would be 4,000 miles, and I wouldn’t take rides.
